As soon as we found out we were having a little girl I was ridiculously excited to start planning her room. Harlow's nursery is a mix of native, shabby-chic and vintage elements. It is a soft calming space filled with lots of whites, neutrals, pale-rose colored accents and wood. Everything in her room was thoughtfully picked or hand-made by Jesse and I with love. We wanted our little girl to be surrounded with natural colors and textures that I have always favored and a room that she can grow with.
One of my favorite things in Harlow's room are these wooden arrows Jesse hand-made. You can find the DIY tutorial here or purchase them pre-made here. We stained them with Minwax 'Early American' to give them a more weathered feel and to add some texture and warmth into the space.
My husband is a huge fan of clean lines and all things new, but sometimes I like to throw in décor that has a touch of old to it creating a mixture of pieces. This chippy white-washed 'H' was huge, but I loved how it added contrast against the freshly painted cream walls.

At 6 months old, Harlow's nursery is still a work in progress. The largest renovation, her closet, is going to be updated with a custom built sliding barn wood door. It was the only option we could do expanding on the original space she had without having to order/purchase custom sized closet doors. I will add photographs of the entire thing once it's complete (including photographs of the room prior to renovations). For now, here's a crappy Instagram shot of what this place looked like 4 months into my pregnancy.
