Brody's Jurassic 6th Birthday Party

July 24, 2018

This year Brody decided to have a Jurassic themed birthday. We tossed the idea back and forth with having a big party inviting all his friends and Kindergarten class (which Brody REALLY wanted) but, unfortunately with summer birthdays there are quite a few family vacations and plans which make for difficult attendance plus some home issues (our central air was on the fritz) -- that ultimately decided on us keeping the party intimate (like little Low's) just having our closest friends families over.  These six kids have been around each other since birth and it's incredibly sweet to watch their friendships develop and grow especially since all of us parents were initially friends first.

Jurassic World played on repeat all day (ahh, I love Chris Pratt) and we thought it would be fun for the kids to each make their own dinosaur terrariums to take home and remember Brody's special day.

Brody's awesome dinosaur cake was done by Lila from Made to Cake. I used her for Harlow's birthday and I can't rave about her talent enough! She does an incredible job and her attention to detail rocks. We had a bunch of snacks and munchies plus we ordered pizza, but the volcano lava nacho bar was a pretty big hit. Brody was excited for me to pour the "lava" into it to watch it rupture. Such a fun and easy Pinterest idea!

We had such an amazing time celebrating Brody and I'm pretty sure the birthday boy had a blast too! He got to go to his first Riverhounds soccer game and Kennywood, in addition to his party, making it one huge weekend just for him. Thank you to everyone who made the past couple days so incredibly special for our sweet boy. We appreciate and love you all for being in our lives.

Happiest of Birthdays, Brody. We love you!!
